DSQUARED – Success with teamwork
The twins Dean and Dan Gaten, who were born in Toronto in 1964, became interested in fashion at an early age. At the age of 30, the two took the step to Europe and founded their label DSQUARED2. The name is made up of the names of the two founders, the “2” stands for “D squared”, as well as for Dean and Dan.
When you meet the two brothers, it is almost impossible to tell who is Dean and who is Dan, as they look so similar. This is not only because they are identical twins, but also because the two always appear in partner looks when they appear together. The two fundamentally have completely different views on fashion. However, as one might expect, this does not lead to arguments among the brothers. Quite the opposite: Dean and Dan use their different opinions and repeatedly combine different designs in their fashion, which makes it all the more exciting for their customers.
Different properties characterize DSQUARED
It is almost impossible to briefly summarize the styles of the DSQUARED brand. The brand's range constantly alternates energetic designs, such as fully printed sweaters, with styles full of sex appeal, such as short-cut skirts. The brothers have also designed stage outfits for megastars such as Usher, Madonna and Britney Spears.
