Sandro – Opposites that attract
It's hard to avoid Sandro Paris' extraordinary collections anymore. When Evelyne Chétrite founded the label with her husband Didier in 1984, her style was clear from the start. Like no other, she knew how to unite female and male opposites, combine French elegance with rocking styles and urban looks and give the whole thing a touch of Moroccan flair.
Whether it's T-shirts, trousers, blazers, dresses or jumpsuits - her creations combine luxury and sophisticated street style in an incomparable way, for which the Parisian by choice is now celebrated all over the world. Her designs should not be missing from any ready-to-wear show. The “designer gene” runs in the family, as Evelyne's younger sister, Judith Milgrom, is also famous as the founder and chief designer of the French fashion brand Maje. The pieces form the classic counterpart to Sandro. Both labels therefore always appear next to each other in department stores. Nevertheless, they have clear rules: the other sister is only allowed to see the release of a collection after the public presentation.
Expansion of the Sandro range
Evelyne Chétrite passed her unique taste on to the next generation and so her son Ilan, a banker by profession, launched the Sandro Homme men's collection and has been responsible for the line as chief designer ever since. This also combines casual elegance and the finest French chic with a cool touch. Some time ago, Sandro also entered into a collaboration with the well-known sports shoe label Reebok.
You can combine the feminine blouses from the collection with tweed pants and wear the elegant sneakers from the well-known sports brand. The label's high heels also go wonderfully with a denim look - the perfect outfit for a shopping trip, which is rounded off with a colorful bag.
